A most interesting look at architectural history. I grew up in a Techbuilt house in Trumbull, Conn. I have wondered how the house weathered the years with single pane glass and not a lot of insulation as we use today. I now live (the last 55 yrs) near Seattle and have enjoyed a close association with many architects who made this area what it is. I am a bit of an amateur architect myself and I wonder how much that was the result of growing up in a Techbuilt. Interestingly I spent a number of grad school years living on Brattle St in Cambridge where my wife’s family resided. Is Techbuilt still in existence?
